    Boarding Kennel needed

Hi! I'm new to the group, so please pardon any mistakes on my part.

I might have an opportunity to visit the Lake Lure area and would love to stay at one of the great B&B's I've seen listed for the area. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I will be traveling with my dog and will need to find someplace for her to stay. She's 10.5 years old, spayed, 9.5 pound Papillon.

I'm sure none of the B&B's accept pets, so are there any good boarding kennels in the area?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

    Hi Mary,

Welcome!   A couple of suggestions.  You can first try to find a B&B in the area that accepts pets by using the Advance Search on our home page and click on Special Needs.   Second, pick the inn you would like to stay at and call to see if they can recommend a local kennel if they do not accept pets.

Also, there is a site:  http://www.petswelcome.com/     that list lodgings that accepts pets, including some B&Bs.

    Hope this helped.
