    B & B's in Ireland

This is the most wonderful place to visit. We only stay in B & B's and you really can't go wrong. If anyone needs any information on places to visit and stay I would love to help. I've been there twice and never had a bad experience.

I would love some information.smile  What time of year did you go and how long did you stay?  What areas did you visit?  My husband and I are thinking about going to Ireland for a month, preferably in the off season to keep the costs down and when tourism is lower.  We thought it would be wonderful to rent a B&B or cottage.  We would rent a car and explore Ireland.  Along the way we would rent a B&B or cottage for a week, explore the area, then move to a different area and do the same thing until we traveled all of Ireland.  I would appreciate any recommendations and/or suggestions.

I would love to find a B & B in Dublin, Ireland.  We are planning a trip June 1st, 2005 and will stay for one week in Ireland.  We will betraveling a lot, so we will really need a list of them from Dublin enroute to Antrim.  If you can help we would appreciate it.

    B & B's in Ireland

    hi there,

we made a trip to ireland last autumn and travelled from dublin down to wexford. we went the coastal route, via courtown, kilmuckridge, blackwater, curracloe and wexford town. stayed two days at a "ballygarran house" and one night at "asgard house" before getting ferry back to UK. wexford town was lovely, quaint small streets, nice restaurants , shops and pubs. The beaches were beautiful and stretch for miles (hardly anyone on them). one beach "ballinesker" was where the opening scenes of saving private ryan were shot. We got information on guest houses and wexford on a site www.wexfordweb.com   B&B owners were all very friendly and both establishments were kept very well. The breakfast menu and accommodation in ballygarran house was superb!smilesmile

Really nice to hear you had such a wonderful time staying @ B&Bs here in Ireland - it gladens my heart to know our visitors have such a wonderful time with our family homestays - something we pride ourselves on. Ireland does lend itself greatly to a B&B holiday as it is a small country and the "Go As You Please" way of travel that the B&B allows you compliments the wonderful unpolluted green environment  - the  pure land and seascapes that Ireland is so famous throughout the world. I am a BedandBreakfast.com member and run my own B&B here in Waterville on the Ring of Kerry. I am the Kerry Representative for Town and Country Homes of Ireland and I am very happy to make myself available to any BedandBreakfast.com members who need information or recommendations on any location in Ireland - very happy to do so. In the meantime I hope all continue to enjoy the wonder and magic of Ireland..........................

I am an innkeeper and executive chef in the US.  My husband is transfering to the Dublin area in early November.  Is there a general place I might find listings for such positions?

    Thank you!

www.irishjobs.ie and www.chefjobs.ie  seem to be the best at the moment.

I'd be interested to hear how you got on in Dublin it seems to be an ever changing marketplace.

I too am a member on BedandBreakfast.com with http://www.almarabb.com and also have a free accommodation finding service for all parts of Dublin called Almara Accommodations Dublin http://www.freewebs.com/dublinaccommodationsalmara/index.htm

We've seen a lot of changes in the past 17 years - mostly for the better.
