Hello, I'm not sure if this is where I should post this question or not, but I hope someone here can help at least point me in the correct direction.

I am interested in looking for a grant that provides for restoring a historical home for use as a B&B.  Does anyone know of such a grant? Also do you know if there are grants available for restoring a historical home for a private homeowner?

Don't know for sure, but it's pretty unlikely. You will probably qualify for tax credits if the property is eligible for placement on the National Register for Historic Places -- you might check into that. I'd also contact the Small Business Administration office for your area, as well as your state's B&B association and tourist office.
