Hello, I am trying to convert my home to a Bed & Breakfast in MD> I can't find any resources such as statutes and license info that would assist me. I was hoping that your organization would have a list of laws by state or a place where i can find them. If not, that's okay.

    Thanks,

    Taj

    Dear Taj,

Zoning is typically a local matter, so you would need to contact your town’s planning & zoning board.  If your home is located in a residential area, it’s pretty hard to get approval for a B&B, although it can happen, often with restrictions on use.

For additional information, contact the Maryland B&B Association, http://www.marylandbb.com/.
