The scope is supposed to be "everything up to, but not including, partial differential equations (PDEs)", although the second edition does include a chapter on PDEs that discusses the important concepts in the field and cites the most important papers.

We are looking for an inn to manage, preferably one with 8-10 rooms or more. We have owned two college-town inns in Virginia, one a startup, both highly successful. A couple years ago we sold the property and invested in another business that we do not enjoy. The property market is slow and attempts to sell this and return to b&b ownership have faltered. We've now leased that business to a new operator and are looking for an inn to run and perhaps eventually to buy when the economy turns,

Our inns were 5 and 7 rooms, the latter with a 6 apartment extended stay building next door. Clientele included many businss people (there were no decent hotels in the town) in addition to sightseers and the expected college town visitors--parents, university job candidates, students, speakers. With some part-time help, we did all the work from marketing to housekeeping. One of us has a professional background as a school headmaster, the other in upscale private clubs and 4 star hotels with professional schooling in the UK. We have been together since 1988. Prior to innkeeping our work was largely in Europe and the Middle East.

We are flexible in location but prefer to be at least near a sizable metro area. Both of us can work full-time or one can run the inn and the other take outside employment. We are non-smokers and basically non-drinkers but do have a couple dogs. Excellent references, both personal and professional are available. Financial arrangements definitely negotiable depending on location, innkeeper quarters, full/prat-time responsibilities, need for 1 or 2 employees, etc. Our ideal post would be with someone in a similar business situation to us--wanting to sell but not able to find a buyer.

We anticipate that within a couple years we will be in a position to buy again and our preference would be for an inn whose owners would think of eventually selling....but that is not absolute.

We visited Hershey Pa for the first time! Everything was great, esp the 1825 Inn Bread and Breakfast. It was just 3 miles outside of Hershey. We stayed in the Hershey Suite,( very nice!!) the breakfast meals were delightful.They kept our energy level up until dinner time. Will is a wonderful host who makes you feel like family!! Zoning is typically a local matter, so you would need to contact your town’s planning & zoning board. If your home is located in a residential area, it’s pretty hard to get approval for a B&B, although it can happen, often with restrictions on use.
