    Great book for aspiring innkeepers

Generally, when folks think about becoming innkeepers, they stay at a number of properties, attend workshops and trade shows, and read up on the subject.  Thanks to *** Matthews’ Notes from an Innkeepers’ Journal, the process is reversed.   Matthews has done a superlative job of describing the peaks and valleys of the daily life of an innkeeper in a charming and most readable style. His journal is not a “how to” book; I have helped edit most such publications and while useful, they are generally out-of-date shortly after publication.   Instead, he paints a vivid picture of what it’s really like to be an innkeeper. Although everyone’s experience is going to be different, his book will either help prepare you for a wonderful adventure, or save you from making a dreadful mistake.  Either way, it’s worth every penny (and more) of its selling price.

If you're interested, you can buy a copy on Amazon, or directly from the author:
