I am searching for a full time, live in position
with an established, busy B&B (or similar type establishment ie ranch, campground, small resort etc) with a casual atmosphere and an emphasis on fun, adventure, learning, etc.
I have plenty of service related
work in my background (albeit not in a B&B yet). From cleaning
private homes five days a week through the 80's and most of the 90's as my own private little business, to
four years of coordinating the catering (for bands and crew) and setting up dressing rooms for rock performers at a variety of venues for Philadelphia based concert
promoters Electric Factory Concerts (back in the 70's). I also spent
two years working as a
cook/stewardess on a Palm Beach based private yacht whose standards were very high. And from one extreme to the other, I spent a year or
two serving drinks and burgers and catching the occasional flying
bottles in a biker bar. With the exception of the last fifteen years,
my employment history has always been service related work and I've
learned to appreciate and respect all people.
I love staying busy and
working hard, I'm a morning person, up early and ready to go. I
can/will work inside or out, I actually enjoy cleaning and I'm very
thorough and detail oriented....I also enjoy doing outside work, I'm not
afraid to get dirty, and I know how to handle/use basic tools/power tools. I can
also help out in the kitchen whenever needed. I'm always interested in
learning new things and absolutely do not mind pitching in where
ever needed, I work very well independently. If you'd like to teach me other aspects of running a
B&B to give yourself time for other things, or to give yourself some
time off....I'm totally open to that.
I could even paint some
wonderful murals or bits of decoration for you if you like ;-) Did I mention I've spent the
last fifteen years as a mural artist?
All I require is a small, comfortable, private
room plus salary, and lots of work to keep me busy. I will consider all
locations, but would prefer east coast. I am mature, honest,
trustworthy, non-smoker, hard working, able to multi-task, and very dependable.
