When my wife and I found your posting for an
innkeeper on B&B.com, we about jumped out of our shoes. Becoming
innkeepers has been a lifelong dream we have been moving towards for
many years. We are originally from PA, and have been looking to return home and run a B&B together. I see that the posting is fairly old, so I do not know if your situation has changed. We wanted to make contact on the outside chance that you are still looking.
I don't want to try to do a hard sell here in an
email. That is really not who I am. I do, however, want to express my
intense interest, and share some relevant points from my experience.I
have over 20 years of travel & tourism marketing experience. For
the past 10 + years, I have worked in the most competitive tourism
market on the planet, Orlando Florida. In the early 1990's, I was one
of only 100 people nationwide to earn the Certified Travel Industry
Specialist certification from Indiana University Purdue University
Indianapolis. I have operated my own agency for 7 years and have direct
experience in all facet of destination marketing, hospitality, public
relations, retail operations, customer service and more. My resume
illustrates this.
In addition to what the resume states, I am
well versed in carpentry and construction, and am capable of doing
most repair work personally. I have a special affection for
restorative carpentry
My wife, Linda, and I have worked together
for many years. She has great people skills, extensive bookeeping and
computer experience, and together we share a true passion for the
industry.Running a B&B together is our ultimate goal.
In
order to help tertiary properties and attractions compete in Orlando,
home of three of the top theme parks in the world, it takes serious
creative outside thinking. When you are up against mega entities that
spend over $500 million annually inside your market, you have to be
innovative to rise above the clutter. I have been doing that
successfully for employers and clients for years.
I have
